Culture

The culture of a community is the behaviors, ideas, attitudes, and traditions shared by the community and transmitted from one generation to the next. Culture affects the way we behave because it influences us to follow the trends of the community. These trends come from cultural norms, or the rules for accepted and expected behavior. If different cultures meet at a crossroads, the norms often go against each other and create difficulty. Variations in expressiveness and differing norms create problems between cultures. In conclusion, culture influences our behavior by developing social norms and dictating the way we act.
