Variations Over Time

As one can plainly see in the example of the development of the American culture, cultures drastically change and develop over time. For example, since 1960 in the USA, divorce rate has doubled, teen suicide has tripled, and cell phone usage has been introduced and increased dramatically. The rapid change in anything to do with culture has been developed in a term called memes. The word represents self-replicating cultural mutations. Within a culture, many changes occur over time, changing the way we behave by significantly altering the norms of a society.
