These variables include both identical and fraternal twins. The differentiating variables allow psychologists to provide scientific support for the idea that nurture and nature influence the developing personality of a certain individual. Twin rates very among different races as well, which allows psychologists to categorize accordingly for experiments. For example, in Africa and Asia, most twins are identical, while Caucasians have more fraternal twins.
