Twins (Importance of Studies):

Twins are an important aspect of behavior genetic studies because twins allow psychologists to control a home environment while changing the variable, heredity. These variables include both identical and fraternal twins. The differentiating variables allow psychologists to provide scientific support for the idea that nurture and nature influence the developing personality of a certain individual. These twin studies also show that biological and social factors play a significant role in the field of behavior genetics. Twin rates very among different races as well, which allows psychologists to categorize accordingly for experiments. For example, in Africa and Asia, most twins are identical, while Caucasians have more fraternal twins.
